Oh Magdalene, what have I become?
My anguished body is slowly coming undone.
Oh Magdalene, I've found you once again, and for a moment we are young.
But only for a moment; before you dissipate like the smoke in my lungs.
Oh Magdalene on a battered cross;
I buried your sleeping heart.
It's lying quietly under a bed of soil of frost.
And this house is where I used to come home, but it died a long time ago.
I feel the ache in its crumbling bones.
And this house, where I reside, doesn't feel like home.
It doesn't feel like home; it's just a place for me to occupy until I'm gone.
Oh God! My sainted body is but ash and bone.
Oh Magdalene, what have I become? I am nothing but your ghost.
I am nothing but your ghost. (x4)
about
This is a rough rough demo, recorded in a drain pipe under a bridge with my cell-phone. I would have gotten a better recording, but I started to get yelled at by crack-heads, and so I had to rush out of there. Enjoy.
Colby Hink's solo Atmospheric/Folk Black Metal project hailing from British Columbia. My favourite Metal release of this year so far. Favourite track: #4 - She Was A Silhouette Against The Sunlight The Ghost of June
Droning Synthpop/Post-Punk from Adelaide, Australia. It's the solo project of Stacey Wilson, who plays in many Australian bands. This is her best work in my opinion. Favourite track: #3 - Thieves The Ghost of June
The solo project of Dan Barrett (Have a Nice Life) from Connecticut. Barrett writes extremely innovative Folk music. Very raw and emotional stuff here. Favourite track: #6 - Spectral Bride The Ghost of June
